Summer Science Program 2011
Truxton Park Recreation Center,
Annapolis, MD
This program is designed for our
youngest scientists. The theme for this session is "ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE," and during the 4 days of the program, they will explore several of nature's mysteries through many different hands-on, child-centered activities- including conducting real science experiements (with variables and controls!) and other "I-built-it!" projects that they can bring home.
Hands-On Learning Services
Summer Science JR Program
for kids grades PK -1 (minimum age- 3.5 years old)
Specific topics include: working with bugs, experimenting on plants, measuring- and coming up with ways to reduce- food wastes, and others.
Each day will consist of 3 hours of science fun, with a scheduled lunch break. Each scientist will need to bring a bagged lunch of non-perishable foods to class each day.
$180 per child (payable online after registering)
+ $20 materials fee (payable to instructor at start of first class, August 15)
